How we
think about design.
Every project begins with listening — and sometimes that means starting before a site has been chosen. We help clients find and evaluate properties, understanding what each one makes possible before design begins.
From there, we want to understand how you live, how the space needs to function, and what you're hoping it will feel like when it's done. We bring technical rigour, honest budget conversations, and genuine design care — whether we're working on a custom home, a cottage, or a complex commercial project.
We believe beautiful spaces aren't about style, they're about intention.

50+ years
Five decades of practice teaches you where projects go wrong — and how to prevent it. We bring that experience to every project: navigating permits and approvals, managing Committee of Adjustment applications, resolving exterior details before construction begins, reviewing shop drawings, and staying present on site through to completion. The technical side of architecture isn't separate from the design. In our hands, it's part of it.

Anatomy of a Home
Our Philosophy
Over more than five decades of practice, architect Gren Weis and his team has approached every project with a simple conviction: good architecture is not about spectacle. It is about relationships, between rooms, between light and material, between a building and its surroundings. And ultimately, between a home and the people who live within it.
“Build as big as you need, as small as you can.”

Tell us about your project.
We're always happy to hear what people are thinking about building, even if it's early, even if it's not fully formed. The best projects often start with a vague idea and a lot of questions.
